Advanced Team Fundamentals II – Systems

In the Advanced Team Fundamentals I course (20h) we explained in detail the principles and closed solutions for each game phase (attack, defense, offensive transition, defensive transition, set pieces) regardless of the team structure. Those are fundamentals that can be applied to any game system. However, especially in the performance stage, we can see how depending on your structure (4-3-3, 3-5-2, 4-4-2…) and the opponent’s structure, there will be different styles, advantages, disadvantages, profile of the players you need to play that system, different structure variants, and key concepts that will allow you to take profit of your system and exploit the opponent’s system. Your system and your opponent’s system will determine the approach and the concepts that your players should do during the match in order to maximize their performance. It is not the same playing against a 3-5-2 system than a 4-3-3. So in this course, we will explain in detail all the considerations you must take when selecting the best system for your team, and which profile of players fit better this system. Also, we will analyze and propose solutions in attack and defense for when your team faces each of the main systems (4-3-3, 3-5-2, 3-4-3, 4-4-2 flat, 4-4-2 diamond, 4-2-3-1). After taking this course, you will master all the game systems, their advantages, disadvantages, best profile of players, and how to modify the base system depending on which system the opponent is playing. All of these concepts will allow you to maximize the performance that your team shows on the pitch!
