Advanced Scouting & Analysis
Scouting that replaces impressions with shared, objective criteria. This course teaches a working method: decide what your team needs, judge players against fixed criteria for each position, and run the scouting process with shared documents and data. It starts with context: how your game model, system, league, club size and squad shape the right signing. It then moves to young talent with Ekkono’s T-MASC framework (Talent, Motricity, Availability, Smart, Commitment), which scores every trait by how trainable it is. The central idea runs through the whole course: recruit the traits that are hard to train, and coach the ones that are not. Units 4 to 11 evaluate seven positions one by one: full-back, centre-back, striker, holding midfielder, winger, advanced midfielder and goalkeeper. Each has around eight evaluation axes, and nearly every criterion is shown on real match clips from elite men’s and women’s football. A guest session with David László, performance analyst at the Hungarian Football Federation, covers data-driven scouting: 15 data components, 17 player roles, radars and similarity search for finding replacements. The course closes with scouting operations and tools: the three-stage scouting cycle, the shadow-team document, observation and match reports, and player data forms. 12 units and a final exam, designed to be completed in about 10 weeks at roughly 3 hours a week. Each video lecture is spoken in English with Arabic subtitles and paired with a written reading in Arabic. Built for coaches, analysts, scouts and sporting directors, whether you are joining a scouting department or building one from scratch.
